The owners/operators of CVG are both accredited appraisers with the Appraisal Institute of Canada having conducted real estate appraisals on all types of property since 1981. In 1985, we became involved in assessment appeals in Edmonton and northern Alberta and have grown since that time to include a Calgary office and carry out tax appeal assignments throughout Western Canada.

Today, CVG specializes in assessment appeals and has become one of the largest tax appeal companies in Western Canada. With our appraisal expertise, we are able to complete tax reviews for replacement cost or market value systems throughout North America. Our clients range from individuals with one or two properties to national and multi-national corporations with holdings throughout Canada and their portfolios range from small walk-up apartment projects to multi-million dollar commercial and industrial properties.

With our history of successful appeals, we have become very familiar with taxation legislation, particularly throughout Western Canada and believe our success is due to our appraisal background and expertise and also to our in-depth knowledge of the assessment manuals, practices and legislation used throughout this region.

Both partners of CVG have been actively involved in the real estate industry holding positions on the Boards of the Edmonton Chapters of BOMA (Building Owners and Managers Association), The Appraisal Institute of Canada, and the Real Estate Institute of Canada as well as being active members of other real estate organizations.

We are considered to be expert witnesses by the tribunals which hear our cases and have attended over 5,000 tax appeal hearings.
